Jorge Martin is on the editorial board of In Defence of Marxism and America Socialista, and plays a leading role in the Hands off Venezuela campaign. He will speak on Fanon’s Wretched of the Earth: A Marxist critique and will introduce the discussion on 50 years since the coup in Chile: Lessons on the state.
Ben Gliniecki is the National Organiser of Socialist Appeal, and is a regular writer for the In Defence of Marxism theoretical magazine. He will be introducing the discussions on building communism in Britain, alongside Rob Sewell, as well as the session on why bourgeois democracy is a dictatorship of the rich.
Josh Holroyd is on the editorial board of and a regular writer for the In Defence of Marxism theoretical magazine. Having recently written new introductions to Marx’s works on France, Josh will be exploring the question of how Marx became a communist at this year’s festival, and introducing the discussion on the collapse of French imperialism in West Africa.
Adam Booth is on the editorial board of the Socialist Appeal newspaper, is the editor of socialist.net, and co-author of Understanding Marx’s Capital. Adam will be introducing the topic on the Soviet economy: how it worked, and how it didn’t.
