Marxism and the national question
Unsolved national questions are surfacing around the world, as the crisis of capitalism deepens.
Millions who suffer national oppression are increasingly searching for a way forward out of this impasse. Meanwhile the ruling class deliberately uses nationalism as a way to divide the working class.
How do communists approach this complicated question, which can become a key factor in revolutions?
In this session, James Kilby will give an overview of how Marx and Engels developed their approach to the national question, and how this was expertly put into practice by Lenin and Trotsky in the Russian Revolution.
Examples from various national struggles across history to the present day will be given, in order to arm comrades with the ideas necessary for the success of the world revolution.
